SELF NOMINATE FOR ALL GENRES + FESTIVAL & VENUE OF THE YEAR

#SELF NOMINATE FOR ALL GENRES + FESTIVAL & VENUE OF THE YEAR

Queensland artists, festivals and venues are now invited to nominate across 20 categories for the 2025 Queensland Music Awards (QMAs). Produced and presented by QMusic, the awards recognise and celebrate the brightest talent, alongside the incredible venues and festivals our state produces.

Judged by more than 100 leading national industry figures, last year’s Song of the Year and Pop Award winner Jem Cassar-Daley said, “Receiving Song of the Year at this year’s QMA’s is easily the biggest highlight of my career thus far. To be surrounded by my peers and Brisbane’s strong music community meant the absolute world to me and that night is full of moments I will never forget!

“As next year’s awards quickly approach, I encourage you all to nominate your releases. I always look forward to seeing Queensland musicians absolutely killing it and can’t wait to see our artists getting the recognition they deserve.”

The People's Choice Awards will also return in 2025, with venues and festivals also invited to nominate from today for the chance to be crowned Festival of the Year, Regional Venue of the Year, Metro Venue of the Year or Accessible Venue of the Year. Eligible nominees will be presented to the public for public voting in early 2025.

Now in its second year, the Music For Screen Award will be expanded, and open to original songs/compositions released in the last five years, for works both created specifically for and works selected to soundtrack screen-based media, including television, advertisements, film, and games.

The QMAs have a long history of not only celebrating the worldwide achievements of household names like Amy Shark, Keith Urban, The Veronicas and Sheppard, but also acknowledging emerging songwriters from the far corners of our region. Jem Cassar-Daley, Cub Sport, Fisher & Kita Alexander, FELONY., Tori Forsyth, Busby Marou, Tia Gostelow and Joff Bush were amongst the winners for 2024 alone, as selected by a 100+ strong panel of national and international industry judges.
